• The National Association of Writers in Education (NAWE) is the one organization supporting the development of creative writing of all genres and in all educational settings throughout the UK. NAWE's principal aims are: to promote and develop the educational ideals of writers and to make the benefits of their work available to a wider cross section of students; and to open up a dialogue between teachers, writers and organisers in order to develop those ideals.

• Writing Together is a unique partnership of book and literature charities and official bodies. Booktrust hosts the project and The Poetry Society and the National Association of Writers in Education work with QCA, the national strategies, Arts Council England and the DfES. Writing Together aims to ensure that, during their life at school, every child encounters opportunities to work with professional writers who inspire them to write creatively.
